Measurement of the Branching Ratios Psi-prime ---] E+ E-, Psi-prime ---] J/psi Pi Pi and Psi-prime ---] J/psi Eta

Book Description

The authors have measured several branching ratios for?' decay using the data collected by FNAL E835 experiment during year 2000, obtaining?(?' 2!ee−) = 0.0068 ± 0.0001 ± 0.0004,?(?' 2!J/??+?−) = 0.292 ± 0.005 ± 0.018,?(?' 2!J/??°?°) = 0.167 ± 0.005 ± 0.014 and?(?' 2!J/??) = 0.028 ± 0.002 ± 0.002. They also present a measurement of the dipion mass distribution in the decays?' 2!J/???

J//psi/ Results from Mark III.

Book Description

Measurements of the two body decays of the J/[psi] into vector and pseudoscalar meson pairs are presented. Using the measured branching ratios, a phenomenological model of J//psi/ decays indicates that the [eta] and [eta]' are composed only of light and strange quarks, without a gluonium contribution in the [eta]' wavefunction. A measurement of J//psi/ .-->. .gamma pi./sup +/.pi./sup -/.pi./sup +/.pi./sup -/ is presented. The f1 (1285) is observed and its spin and parity are investigated. The /eta//sub c/ is observed to decay to /rho/°/rho/°, and first indications of /eta//sub c/ decays to f2f2 are presented. The spin and parity of the /eta//sub c/ are investigated. 5 figs., 3 figs., 1 tab.

A Measurement of the B0 --] J/psi Pi+pi- Branching Fraction

Book Description

We present a measurement of the branching fraction for the decay of the neutral B meson into the final state J/[psi][pi][sup+][pi][sup -]. The data set contains approximately 56 million B[bar B] pairs produced at the[Upsilon](4S) resonance and recorded with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e[sup+]e[sup -] storage ring. The result of this analysis is[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] J/[psi][pi][sup+][pi][sup -])= (4.6[+-] 0.7[+-] 0.6) x 10[sup -5], where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. In addition we measure[Beta](B[sup 0][yields] J?[psi][rho][sup 0])= (1.6[+-] 0.6[+-] 0.4) x 10[sup -5].

Branching Fraction and Charge Asymmetry Measurements InB to J/psi Pi Pi Decays

Book Description

The authors study the decays B° → J/???− and B+ → J/??+?°, including intermediate resonances, using a sample of 382 million B{bar B} pairs recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e− B factory. They measure the branching fractions?(B° → J/??°) = (2.7 ± 0.3 ± 0.17) x 10−5 and?(B+ → J/??+) = (5.0 ± 0.7 ± 0.31) x 10−5. The authors also set the following upper limits at the 90% confidence level:?(B° → J/??+?− non-resonant)
